Who we are
Your information is being collected and held by the Department of Customer Service (the Department) on behalf of the Commissioner for NSW Fair Trading for use by the NSW Building Commission and/or NSW Fair Trading. The Department gives priority to protecting the privacy of your personal information in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act).

Why we collect your personal information
The Community and Industry Engagement team within the Department is collecting your personal information for the purposes of registering your subscription to receive the newsletters and industry updates you select in the subscription centre.
Failure to provide information
Your information is provided voluntarily however if you choose not to provide your information, we may be unable to register your subscription.
How we may use this information
We may use the information we collect to register and manage your subscription to the NSW Building Commission and/or NSW Fair Trading newsletters and industry updates you select. We may also use the information to support the evaluation of our services, including sending you voluntary surveys and for any directly related purposes.
Who we may share your information with
We will not disclose your information to anybody unless we are authorised or permitted to do so by law or where you have given consent.

We will store, manage, and dispose of your information in accordance with the provisions of the PPIP Act.
