Supporting Aboriginal people

This section of the Fair Trading website has information for Aboriginal consumers and traders.

It's ok to walk away

A national campaign to empower Aboriginal consumers.

Fair Trading wants to empower Aboriginal consumers to not be pressured or misled into making a purchase or signing a contract for goods or services they may not want or can afford - whether it’s in a shopping centre, on the street, at their own front door, or over the phone.

A series of free information seminars will take place throughout NSW. Requests for a seminar can be emailed to or by calling 1800 500 330.
