When you want to connect your home, business or other premises to the electricity distribution network, or get more electricity from the network than is possible at the moment, or need the network to be closer to your premises, you need a suitably qualified person to do the work.

To ensure the electricity distribution network and your connection to the network remain efficient, reliable and safe, only Accredited Service Providers (ASPs) may do this kind of work in NSW.

The Accreditation Scheme

On 20 September 2010, the administration of the Scheme to accredit these service providers transferred to Industry & Investment NSW.
